The remarkable record for longevity of the
Stipe family as published in the Review
on Wednesday provoked a lot of comment and has uncovered some remarkable
records for long life in some of the families of the county. The
following record of the Scott family is worthy of publication.
This
family has now living six members ranging in age from 76 to 92. They
are: DH Scott of Iowa age 92; John M. Scott of Indianapolis 86; Thomas
N. Scott of Kansas 84; Margaret Evans of Russellville 82; Alexander M.
Scott of Indianapolis, formerly of Ladoga 80 and Eliza Hamilton of Ks
76.
