Dr. Henry Rogers was born 9 Feb 1792 in Virginia, the son of Burgess and Sophia Miller Rogers. He served in the War of 1812, Battle of Maumee. His first wife was Elizabeth Mackey Reid. He and Elizabeth had the following children: John Alexander ; William Burgess; Mary Jane; Sophia Ann; George Reid Rogers; and Thomas Sydenham Rogers.
Henry was a physician in Brown Township by 1850. He and his second wife, Jane (maiden name unknown married ? Kirkpatrick) had Henry Clay Rogers and James Calvin Rogers.
John Henry Orear practiced under Dr. Henry Rogers and married his stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Kirkpatrick.
Dr. Rogers died 9 November 1874 and is buried in the Ladoga Cemetery, Ladoga, Montgomery County, Indiana along with his second wife Jane (1812-1878)
