W.L. Richards, a shoemaker of this city, filed information
in circuit court during the past week charging one Oren Brown with having sold
his vote at the recent general election.
Brown pleaded guilty and by attorney Richards will file a claim for $100
information money before the county board.
Mr. Brown smilingly pleaded guilty and the affair was treated by him as
a rather rare joke. In the turmoil of
the next campaign Mr. Brown, when he gets his blood up to the voting pitch will
have to gain a residence in some other state before he can get to the ballot
box.
