8--DAVID RETTINGER (son of No. 7 ) married at Fincastle Va., Oct. 24th,
1848, ELIZABETH MANGUS, born Oct. 14th, 1824, Botetourt Co., Va., died in Mont. Co., Ind., Sept. 13th, 1903. (dau. of GEORGE and MARY (Peffley) MANGUS)--see No.520520. David is buried in the Ben. Brubaker Cemetery, Hanging Rock, Va. Elizabeth at Bethel Cemetery, Ladoga, Ind. They separated in 1867 and Elizabeth went to Indiana locating at Whitesville, where she made a living for the children by tailoring.

1--MARY MELLISSA RETTINGER, b. 7-1-1852, d. 10-2-1932, Ladoga, Ind.
2--GEORGE CALVIN, died young.
3--DAVID PIERCE RETTINGER.
4--JEANETTA FLORENCE RETTINGER, b. 1-26-1858.
5--KETURAH DOVE RETTINGER.
