Olinger - David F.

David F. Olinger was born near Greenville, Tennessee in 1835 and
died in Browns Valley, Indiana Feb 27, 1893. He attended Nashville Medical
College and shortly thereafter enlisted as a Surgeon in the Confederate Army.
He was taken prisoner and sent to Camp Douglas in Chicago where he remained
until the close of the war. After the close of the war he came to Montgomery
County, locating at Browns Valley, following Dr. Orear who left in 1867. He was
especially successful in the treatment of the diseases of children and enjoyed
an enviable practice.
