John Nordman, 73, who had been a baker, carpenter and cabinet maker, d. Friday at 1:05a.m. at Culver Hospital. He had been ill for two weeks. Nordman wasb. March 18, 1889, in Sweden and came to this country when he wastwo. (BTW
I could not find them in the 1900 census here) He was marr. to Fanny Peterman (her tombstone has no dates). He was a member of the Mace Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow; 3 daughters, Mrs. Christena Addler of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of Chicago; Mrs. Evelyn Kendall of E. Chicago; two sons, John C. Nordman of Shirley and Clarence Nordman of New Castle; a sister, Mrs. Mary Randberg of NY: 14 grandchildren and 4 greats. One son preceded him in death. Private funeral serv. will be held at 10:30 Mon. morning at Hunt & Son Fun. Home. Rev. Clarence Loveland will offic. Bur. in Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Mace. There will be no public calling at the funeral home.
