Some time ago Jesse McMullen struck a flow of gas on
his farm west of town while drilling for water. He had the gas piped
into the house and sowed the chip-yard to wheat. But sad to say, the
pressure began to grow gradually but perceptibly less. With vision of a
cold cook stove pursuing him like a nightmare, McMullen hunted up Stark
the driller and went deeper. After going through a lot of hard-pan, the
pressure began to rise again and now stands at 40# as against the
original 25. Smiles again wreath the face of Mr. McMullen who has 3
stoves going and intends to put in lights. - typed by kbz
