Bro. Mikles has won a place in the affections of the people of his district, many of whom the writer has heard to say he is a good man, a good presiding elder and we will not like to part with him.  Br. M. was born Nov 8, 1835 in Montgomery County, Indiana is therefore nearly 42 years old and has been in the ministry since 1857 just 20 years. Br. Mikles is now presiding elder of the Crawfordsville district, having two years yet to serve.  It is not improper to say that if his popularity and usefulness increases in the same rate for the two years to come as for the two past he will be a very popular and useful presiding elder.  His youth is considerably against him in the estimation of some. We have no fears of his tender years being an injury to him.
