The farm home of Zura MONROE, on No. 234 East of Freedom Church burned about half past 4 on Tuesday afternoon with all its contents. Mrs. Monroe and Mrs. BLAKE were at the church. Zura and Jim Rankin came in from the harvest field and put water on the coal oil stove to heat for a bath. Then they took a nap and when they woke up the room in which the stove was located was a mass of flames. The hosue was one of the oldest in this section. it was built by Caleb CONNER and later owned by Peter JAMES. Mrs. Blake, who is living with Mr. and Mrs. Monroe had lately moved most of her furniture from her own residence, so that went with the rest. They are now "camping in the Blake residence."
