Maxwell - Irvin B.

Only the 1846 Turner's Indiana Annual Register listed Irvin Maxwell in Montgomery County, Crawfordsville. He was born about 1805 in Kentucky, married Deborah SUsan Owens and had at least one child. He may have married again to a Mrs. Lucinda Gwyn. He probably died in Monroe County, Indiana or possibly Clinton County. It is said his mentor was David Maxwell, an uncle. A David Maxwell died Aug 11, 1848, aged 53 Years 7 Months is buried in the Grady Cemetery in Wayne Township, but it is not known for sure if this could be Irvin's Uncle David. In fact, nothing else concrete could be found about this man or his work. - kbz
