Marsteller - George

Source: Waveland Independent newspaper, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana, Oct 30, 1914

George Marsteller, who has been in the Fletcher Sanitorium in Indianapolis, on  account of insanity, was brought home Saturday as cured. On  Monday he became violent and drove his family away from home with  an ax. The Putnam Co. sheriff came and took him to Greencastle.  He made no resistance. - typed by kbz

Note: Evidently George was returned and died at the Central State Hospital for the Insane five days before Christmas in 1938.  However, in 1900 he had been a very prominent farmer, living with his wife, Hattie Perry and three of their five children in Coal Creek Township, Montgomery County.   There were even two servants.  Sad :(
