When Uncle Joe Kleiser came to town, Tuesday he was  mad clear through. And no wonder; for a lot of worthless dogs had made a  raid on his sheep and ruined several of them. He has vowed that he will  shoot every dog that he sees on his farm. - kbz

Joseph S. Kleiser was born on August 27, 1821 in Bourbon County, Kentuc ky and died June 17, 1905 age 83 years 9 months and 20 days.  He was the s econd son of Goerge and Elizabeth (McLoed) Kleiser.  The father died wh en the deceased was but two years of age and the widowed mother with her t hree sons removed from Kentucky to Indiana in the year 1834, locating on t he farm east of Waveland now owned by Henry Fullenwider.  At that time t he country in this vicinity was but sparsely settled, being practical ly a wilderness, the town of Waveland then containing one or two house s.  Some years later the family removed fromt he farm to Waevland, where t he 3 brothers worked for a time at the carpenter trae, building some of t he oldest houses now standing in town.  Mr. Kleiser moved upon his farm ab out one half mile east of Waveland about the year 1850, where he con  (th is was continued on page 4 but was not copied -- SORRY
