WILLIAM R. KIRTLEY
Resolutions on the death of late Dr. William R. Kirtley, prepared by Professor James H. Osborne and Edgar A. Rice, have been adopted by the board of directors of the YMCA and will be sent to Mrs. Kirtley. Dr. Kirtley was for years a membr of the board of directors and was a tireless and efficient worker. The resolutions : "That in the death of Dr. W.R. Kirtley, the YMCA of Crawfordsville, Indiana, has met with a distinctive loss, and that this board of diretors will miss the helpful counsel of one of its most loyal members. Dr. Kirtley had been endowed by nature with many of the attributes which made him valuable in any Christian work. He was loyal, faithful, energtic and thoroughly Christian in his make up and we feel that not only the YMCA of this place has suffered a loss but that the community at large will miss him in the daily activities of life. Therefor, be it:
"Rsolved, that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the association and copy sent to __ __ of our deceased brother."

Dr. W. R. Kirtley, Saturday received a message from Detroit,
Michigan announcing the death of an infant daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. WE Smith the latter a sister to the doctor. The message also
stated the body would be sent to Indianapolis arriving there some
time Sunday morning. Dr. Kirtley went to Indianapolis where he
met his brother, Dr LW Kirtley of Lebanon. The gentleman took
charge of the body upon its arrival there. The remains were taken
to Franklin, Indiana where interment will take place in the
family lot at Greenlawn Cemetery.
