Keller - William

William Keller, 84 well known resident of Fountain County, died at 5 o'clock Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Effie Leighty, near Mellott. He had been ill 10 days with pneumonia. Mr. Keller was born March 19, 1859 near Wallace, the son of George and Deborah Smith Keller, pioneer Indiana couple. He was married September 13, 1878 to Mahala Dowden who preceded him in death several years ago. Surviving besides the daughter are: four son, Manson of Jamestown; Aaron of Logansport; Harry of Crawfordsville and Howard of Potomac, Ill; two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Cotton of Waveland and Mrs. Flossie Simmons of near Hillsboro, a brother, Sylvester of Momence Ill; 36 grandchildren, 60- great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church near Wallace, Rev. John Services of Crawfordsville officiating. Burial will be in the Cemetery near the church. The body was taken to the Grenard-Servies funeral home in Waynetown where it will be kept preceding the rites.
