Although Abijah F. Henry spent most of his medical career practicing in Alamo, Indiana, he also located in Winfield, Kansas, Wingate, Crawfordsville and ultimately Frankfort. Abijjah was the son of WIlliam and Nancy Henry and was born December 20, 1835 in Crawfordsville. His death was due to appendicitis and occurred March 29, 1898. His medical education culminated with his graduation from Rush Medical College, Chicago, in 1866. In March of 1867, he married Susan J. Nicholson. His wife died February 25, 1888. Sam, Frank, Albert and Dora were born to this union. Dr. Henry was a Mason, an able physician, excellent citizen and highly esteemed individual. Oh! And, he was also a Republican!

Dr. A.F. Henry spent Christmas in Crawfordsville and before leaving for Frankfort next morning he told the Argus News of an invention of his in which there is possibly millions of dollars. It is a little device known as an inhaler with which he purposes curing consumption. He has treated a number of cases with very satisfactory results and has spplied for a patent. - typed by kbz
