Joseph HART the
small boy who Monday night arrived at the police station bearing an
envelope with the name MM Hart printed upon it is today happy in his
father's home at 813 E. Franklin Street. The lad had been in an orphan's
home in Vincennes for several years and a short time ago his step
mother decided to give his father a pleasant surprise. Se wrote to the
home asking them to send the ad here and he arrived in Crawfordsville
Monday night. Some one directed him to the city hall. Just about 8
o'clock the boy climbed the stairs and rapped on the door of the police
headquarters. When Chief Hill answered the knock the boy handed him the
envelope with the name MM Hart on it. After a little investigation the
chief landed the boy safely at the home of his father, Jesse G. Hart. -- typed by kbz
