As will be noticed elsewhere the firm of Kritz Guy has been  dissolved. Mr. Guy selling out to Mr. Kritz who will continue the  business. As soon as he can make arrangements, Mr. Guy will go to  Las Vegas, N. Mexico, his former home where he has taken an  interest in the only exclusive shoe store in that city. Mrs. Guy  will accompany him. In fact, one of the main reasons for the  change is that the climate of New Mexico agrees with her better  than that of Indiana. Their many friends will regret their  going.  -- kbz

Waveland Independent Nov 23, 1917 - Leon GUY left today for El Paso whe re he will take up work as a foreign secretary for the YMCA.  Mr. Guy will be stationed at Ft. Bliss during his training period and later probably will be sent to some European country where the war Y is operating. M r. Guy said today that he expects to return home after the war is over a nd to continue to make Las Vegas his permanent residence.  His mother, Mrs. Estelle Guy will remain here. Mr. Guy has been employed in the Bacharach store here for the past 11 years.  He is an expert window dresser and a dvertising man and saelesman. He said today he felt it his duty to be of service to his country and as the government recognizes the war YMCA as ben eficial to the fighting forces he tendered it his services. Mr. Guy is a singer of unusual ability and he expects to have all the soldiers who come under his work "singing their heads off" during recreation hours. Las Vegas Optic  -- kbz

A copy of the El Paso Herald has a picture showing Leon GUY, hammer in han d, at work on a "Y" shelter, remodeled from an army mess shack. Leon is bu ilding secretary of the YMCA at El Paso and from what we know of him, t he chips will fly.
