Grimes - Leonard

Five boys, Leonard Grimes, Virgil Ballard, Lee Clarkson, Donald Wilkinson and Clifford Bunnell, were all injured when the car in which they were riding struck the engine of a freight train at the Washington street crossing of the Big Four in Crawfordsville about 10 on Sunday night. Grimes and Ballard were seriously hurt and at first thought to be fatally injured. All were taken to Culver hospital. Grimes, who was driving is the son of Mrs. Harry Hunt, formerly Mrs. Laura Conner Grimes. He attended Waveland school but graduated from Alamo.
