M.W. GREEN, farmer, Waveland, was b. in New Haven Co, Conn. Aug 14, 1805 and at the age of 16 came to Hamilton Co, Ohio and began serving an apprenticeship at the tanner trade, working as journeyman for 17 years. In Jan 1832, he came to Montgomery Co and bought his present farm, where he moved in 1833, and in 1843, he built a tannery, which he now has. In 1846 he married Elizabeth CLARK, who was a native of Va, and was b. Sept 13, 1808 and died April 6, 1873. He has one son living, Joseph W. Mr. Green is a radical republican and has done a great deal to help the cause in the late rebellion. - typed by kbz
