Gilkey & Upton Garage to Gilliland..

Gilkey & Upton have sold their garage to Early Gilliland and Frank Gardner. They will not give up their places with the CI but have employed Harry Gardner to look after the place. Of course they will monkey around there all their spare time. Harry Gardner has been working for the Sayler Garage at New Market. He formerly worked here for John Parrish and is a first class mechanic. He will move here as soon as he can get a house. Mr. Upton will put in his time for a few weeks rebuilding a couple of cars. Mr. Gilkey will continue his wild career as a jitney driver for the present.

Dr. BM Harbeson accompanied Frank Gardner to Indianapolis, Monday to consult a specialist about some trouble he is having with his fingers. One on the right hand and 3 on the left are giving him trouble. The symptoms are similar to frost bite and cold weather aggravates the trouble. The specialist diagnosed it as Berger's or Raynaud's disease and said there were only two other cases in Indiana. All the other cases have been among Russian Jews and it is thought the infection comes from rust on wheat straw. He thought that Frank might lose his fingers and there is no certain remedy known -- typed by kbz.
