May 15 was Levi Coon's 63rd birthday and the 16th was his friend Mr. James Galey's 62nd. They were school boys together so for the last 9 years they have been celebrating on their birthdays at or near that day. They meet one year at Mr. Galeys and next at Mr. Coons. So this year they met with Mr. and Mrs Coons. Mrs. Coons prepared the dinner on Sun May 14 and those that helped them celebrate were JL VanCleave and wife, and Catherine VanCleave of Wingate; DC Moore and wife of Waynetown; James Galey and wife of near Linnsburg, George Coons and wife and Merle Coons and wife and Sam Herald of New Market; Theodore Coons an wife of near Browns Valley and BE Antrobus and wife and little daughter and his mother and Mr . and Mrs. Willie Rush of Crawfordsville were there to help them partake of that bountiful dinner that was prepared for the occasion and they all enjoyed themselves. Mr. Coons received several nice presents. All of the friends left in the evening that they had had a nice time together. -- typed by kbz
