There was a William Ellis who "of late had been the assistant surgeon in the Danbery England Hospital in the March 16, 1872 Crawfordsville Weekly Journal. His office was over J.T. Mack's Baker and he rented a room from James Patterson on East Market Street. It is not thought the the two Dr. Ellis' are relation.
