It is with genuine regret that we note that Albert J. Denk, who has been in business in one way or another for the past 15 years is closing out his general store and will retire from business in Waveland. Mr. Denk was first associated with his brother, Carl, in the grocery, but closed this out on going to the WW service. After his return in 1920, he with AC Deere bought the CS Kritz store. Mr. Deere retired in 1924 and he has since carried on the business alone. He has formed no plans for the immediate future, but will probably take a rest as his health has not been the best. We hope he will continue to make his home in Waveland as he is a good citizen and an upright business man. - kbz
