Dr. LEONIDAS B. COCHRAN

Registered with the 1882 State Board of Health, Dr. Cochran was listed as a dentist in the 1900 census, but doctor in 1882.

In 1880, he was listed both in Jennings, Scott County, Indiana and a month later here at age 30, and a Physician in both.  He was the son of Giles and Margaret Christy Cochran.  He was born in Indiana two days before Valentines in the census year of 1850.  Here in 1880, he was with the Luther Herrod family, along with several male school teachers in Clark Township.  

His father, Giles was born in England.  At Leonidas' death on March 9, 1914 in Washington Township, Decatur County, Indiana he was listed as a Nursery man and died of "Exhaustion" at age 64 years 25 days. He is buried in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.  He also was working at a newspaper in 1910.  Very versatile man.  

His marriage took place in (Maggie Muir) 13 June 1889.  As far as known, he had one son, Emeory.
