Claypool - Joseph James
Joseph James CLaypool
Source: Zach, Karen Bazzani. Montgomery Medicine Men ... Crawfordsville, Indiana: Montgomery County Historical Society, 2002.
Listed with the State Board of Health in 1882 as practicing in the Waynetown area, I could not find a death date or obituariy for this Dr. Claypool to check a birthdate, family ... However, I did find that there were at least two other Dr. Claypools (again, no birthdates or other information) found. They were in our county at least at one time - names Don and Stanley or, as indicated below, it seems that Joseph James and Joseph Stanley may be the same person.
Note: Further information that may/may not pertain to any of the above.

So, this must be the Joseph Stanley Claypool right above since he is listed as Ruben and Catherine parents and same above in the death record - also he has a son Walter in the 1880 census and Walter gave Joseph Stanley's information on the death record. NOT sure and doesn't seem so (but with no date hard to decide) IF his name is Joseph James.
In the 1900 census, Wayne Township the family sure has multiplied.
