Again, those common names throw researchers for a loop, so I have little knowledge of H.W> Carter, other than he appears at Bowers Station in the 1878 Atlas of Montgomery County, Next, we find him as having a stillborn child in AUgust of 1881 and living on West Market Street in Crawfordsville.
