Claude Banta, who is on a ranch up in Canada, at Elbow in Saskatchawan province, writes that he is very nicely fixed and has this to say about the weather: "We are having a very fine winter so far. Just about snow enough for good sledding. Had a few days that was real winter temperature, dropped to 40 below zero but did not last but a few days, thawing every day now about noon."
