Alfrey - Henry
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 1 Dec 1893 p 3
It was rumored on the street’s Monday that Henry Alfrey, the stave man had made an assignment. How such a rumor obtained currency it is impossible to conjecture. It is needless to say that the rumor is groundless and rests on no basis of truth. Mr. Alfrey can pay every dollar he owes on ten days’ notice and have $100,000 left. He is one of the financially strong men of the city.
