1869
- Robert K. Krout served as clerk for the school board begining in 1869.
1876-1877
- The school board minutes is the source of information for the schools years 1876-1877 through 1900-1901.
- Some teachers were paid $45.00 a month and some were paid $50.00 per month.
- There were 129 school nuildings located in montgomery County. Union Twp. had 33 schools enrolling 1932 students.
1879-1880
- Brown Township: 11 schools
- Coal Creek Township: 12 schools
- Madison Township: 7 schools
- Sugar Creek Township: 9 schools
- Wayne Township: 9 schools
- Walnut Township: 9 schools
- Ripley Township: 8 schools
- Scott Township: 7 schools
- Clarl Township: 8 schools
- Crawfordsville, Lodoga, Waynetown, Waveland and New Ross had "graded schools".
1883-1884
- Sam G. Willson property purchased June 26, 1884.
1891-1892
- Central School burned April 2, 1892 and classes were held at South Hall at Wabash College. Central was built in 1872 for a sum of $44,000.00 and was renovated after the fire. The renovation cost $92,500.00.
1893-1896
- The minutes of the school board meetings during the school years 1893-1894, 1894-1895 and 1895-1896 did not list the names of the teachers or the custodians. The board members were J. C. Barnhill, President; E. H. Cowan, Treasurer; and M. W. Bruner, Secretary.
- In June of 1896 Anna Willson was appointed principal of the high school. Thomas Foster was appointed custodian at Central.
- The school board minutes did show that the city council sold $15,000 in bonds to build Willson School in March 1896.
1897-1898
- Willson School was completed at a cost of $20,982.00.

1914-1915
- Lulu Schwin was Kindergarten teacher at Central and Mills. Beth Miller was assistant.
- Mary Spilman was Kindergarten teacher at Willson and Tuttle. Maude Snyder was assistant.
1915-1916
- Assistant teachers of sewing & cooking: Jessie Lee, Mabel Fertich and Elsie Walkup.
- Sadie Britton as librarian
- School system custodians for the year.
1916-1917
- Assistant teachers of sewing & cooking: Jessie Lee, Mabel Fertich and Nina Short .
- Sadie Britton as librarian.

1917-1918
- Assistant teachers of sewing & cooking: Jessie Lee, Nina Short and Louise Keegan .

- Music Directors were Margureite Kennon and Nick Grillo.
1921-1922
- The Public Library was under the school board until June 9, 1921. At that time a seperate library Board was appointed. Anna Willson and Joy L. Leonard were appointed by the school board.
From the March 8, 1921 school board minutes, "
- The superintendent reported the matter relative to furnishing water to Highland school. For several years the janitor has been carrying water from the well of Frank P. Jameison without charge. The superintendent reported it might be well to pay Mr. Jamison a reasonable amount for the use of the water. The superintendent was directed to see Mr. Jamison and report at the next meeting.
- The board also approved a claim submitted by Carl Toney for hauling ashes from the High School building. The claim was for $20.25.
- Dr. Greene, the treasurer of the board, presented the following resolution and contract for employment which was adopted by the vote of Dr. Greene and John C. Snyder for its adoption and Ward B. Walkup voting against its adoption. "Resolve by the board of school trustees of the School City of Crawfordsville, Indiana that John C. Snyder, Secretary of said board, be and is hereby authorized on behalf of the board of school trustees, to employee Miss Anna Willson to act as superintendent of the schools in the city of Crawfordsville for a period of three (3) years begining July 1, 1921" The contract called for a salary of $3,000.00 for the first year with a promise of an increse the second year if her performance proved to be satidfactory. Anna Willson received a $500.00 increase in Salary the second year of her contract.
1924-1925

1927-1928
- Students from Whitlock District (Fiskville School) were bused to Horace Mann school.
- On January 3, 1928 the board of school trustees voted to not renew the contract of Mr. Deetz, who was the principal of the high school.
- On August 7, 1923 (from board minutes) a motion was made by Mr. McNutt, seconded by Mr. Burroughs, that after a temporary, or a permanent contract is signed during the year, if a teacher gets married, it is the equivalent to a resignation. Motion Passed. (The motion enforce below)
- In 1927 Superintendent Underwood stated that Josephine Harding, a grade teacher, had been married in December of 1925. It was the decision of the board that the rule of the board be followed and the residnation be accepted. Motion Passed.
1933-1934
John Beard and Lincoln Schools both closed at the end of the 1932-1933 school year. ( They were later reopened in a few years). Those students went to Willson and Horace Mann school which became a K - 6 school.
