Waynetown School Burns

Waynetown School burns around 1987
The building is a total loss!

I have found pictures of this terrible incedent, but I can not find any news stories, also I do not know the exact date.  This happened before the Genweb Program started, and currently the Librabry is closed because of COVID-19.  Below I have six photos of the tragedy.  If anyone can supply more information, it would be appreciated. Contact the website here.

Photos Sources:
Source: Five black and white photos courtesy of Pat Knauer found in , "A Pictorial History of Crawfordsville and Montgomery County, Indiana", Published in 2002 by the Journal Review, 119 N Green Street, Crawfordsville, IN 47933, page 114 & 115
And one color photo from Bob Cox found on the Waynetown Facebook Page.

Below we have a self playing slide show.  By placing the cursor below the "Control Bar" you will see a discription of the photo.  There is an icon "[ ]" on the right side of the "Control Bar" that by clicking on it the slide show will enlarge to "Full Screen".  You can then move forward or backward, at your own pace, by clicking on the right or left arrows.  Then there are full screen controls in the upper right hand corner.  Please enjoy!
