Bowers reopens in 1914 after repairs - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

The consolidated school in the Bowers district has been opened and the regular school routine commenced after a delay of more than a month, resulting from a disagreement between the trustee and contractors regarding some repairs made on the building It has been decided to use the structure temporarily and to make the alterations according to specifications later. Teachers employed in the school have been forced to wait without pay for the opening of the building.
