BRIDGES I am attempting to locate information on Jonathan BRIDGES who died in
Martin Co. IN on 14 Jul 1859. He is buried in the Dog Trot Cemetery. I
believe some of his sons were Jackson BRIDGES, Isaac BRIDGES, James BRIDGES
and Edmond BRIDGES. Edmond was listed with Jonathan on the 1850 Census
for Martin Co. IN. Isaac, James and Jackson were enumerated in the same
area.

living with his dau. Lutica JORDAN in the 1850 Daviess Co. census. He had
a son John W. COCHRAN (b.1821-IN) who married Nancy Jane JORDAN a sister
to Lutica's husband William JORDAN.
CRAIN I am trying to find info on Charles F. Crain b. 1854 in Illinois, m.
Elizabeth Tutin on December 21, 1875 in Illinois. They had eight children:
Henry, Minnie, Maud, Claud, Girl, Millard L. Crain b. August 31, 1899 in
Whitfield, Martin County, Indiana, Elsie and John Emery. Sometime after
Millard was born they moved to California. Looking for info as to Millard
L. Crain's birth.
CRANE Always looking for others who are researching the CRANE family, with
the goal of learning more about the origins of Richard CRANE and his possible

Richard CRANE married Rebecca GARDNER in 1824, then, after her death, her

DYE I am searching for information on Henry Clay DYE, born in 1849 at Dover
Hill, Martin County, IN. Henry Clay DYE was in Missouri and then in Arkansas
and Oklahoma. He left a family behind in Missouri and went to Arkansas
to be with Amanda Roxie HARPER, my great grandmother. He was in Arkansas
in about 1897 until he died in 1915 at Banner, AR. We would like to find
out who his parents and siblings were.

EMMONS I am searching for the families of James M. EMMONS, born about 1755
in Martin Co. IN. He married Martha Emiline BOLES, daughter of Robert Howard
and Mary Ann McCOWN BOLES in Lincoln County, Kansas on April 4, 1880. The
1880 Kansas census lists both the EMMONS and BOLES families as born in
IN. An old family notebook says it was in Martin Co. and the cemetery was
at Emmons Ridge. James M. EMMONS disappeared in Lincoln Kansas in December
of 1880. Any clue to this mystery would be appreciated.

FROMAN I am researching the FROMAN surname, specifically for information about
Walter H. FROMAN and his wife, Mary C. (whose surname may have been SMITH).
This family lived in Martin County prior to 1900 but I have only found
them on the 1900 census. They left Indiana sometime after 1900 and I found
them in Missouri on the 1910 census. By then only 3 of their 13 children
were with them. I am also particularly interested in one of their children,
David W. FROMAN who was born in Indiana in 1889.

HATCH Looking for the parents of Ralphael Jerome HATCH. He mainly went by

His father James W. PHIPPS bought land in early 1830s where Crane Naval
Amo plant now is. Belive he died early 1900s but unable to find death record

SINCLAIR - SINKLER I'm trying to find anything that I can about a Bastro and Mary Sinclair
(or Sinkler) and their children (Mary, Sarah, Caroline, W.H., Albert and
James) who are listed in the 1860 Federal Census for DuBois County, IN.
They lived for a while in Martin Co, IN. They moved to Illinois from Indiana
around 1880.
STEELE Thomas J STEELE came to Indiana from Breckenridge Co. KY in 1834, with
four children. The oldest was Nancy Jane, who married Thomas S. BLAIR in
Martin Co. Christmas Eve, 1855. Thomas J. STEELE had several wives, and
I want to know the name of Nancy Jane STEELE's mother.
STEPHENS In the Ind. Archives (land records) there is listed a James STEPHENS
as having a land transaction 4/6/1818. I would like to know if he is any

SUMMERS Seeking info on Julia A SUMMERS and her parents Benjamin SUMMERS and
Annie Mariah LENTS. Julia was born 11 July 1860 in Loogootee.She married
George W. YEAGER 26 July 1882 d. 1928 in Washington, Indiana, Daviess County.
Is buried at St. John's Cemetery in Washington, Indiana. Benjamin and Annie
Mariah are said to have been born in Martin County. Benjamin's parents
were Benjamin SUMMERS and Catherine NOLLEY. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

VANDEVER John Evans VANDEVER was born in Martin County 10 October 1839 to James
Madison VANDEVER and Martha EVANS. Would anyone know of this family?
VEST Seeking Andrew J. VEST born ca 1845 OH. He left Vinton Co OH sometime
after 1870 possibly with wife Mary. He was living in Loogotee in 1910.

the early 1820's. They first came to Dubois County and some moved to Martin
County. Among them are to be 5 men who I believe to be brothers. George,
Lewis, Thomas Jefferson, John and my Great, Great Grandfather Joseph (Allen)

Drucilla NUCKOLLS both buried Wards Chapel. They had eleven children John,
Nancy, William, Elizabeth, Emily, Andrew, James, David, Charles,Julius,Florence.
I need to find out who William's father and mother are and anything farther
back in the family.
WEBSTER Am researching the Jonathan WEBSTER family, who resided in Martin Co.,
IN for the 1840 and 1850 censuses. Jonathan was b. c. 1804 in New Hampshire
to Richard B. and Sarah (HEATH) WEBSTER. Jonathan married Catherine GRAHAM,
dau. of Samuel GRAHAM on 17NOV1827 in Washington Co., IN. They had children
Richard, Samuel, Sarah Jane, George Washington, Seth, Mary, Margaret Ann,
and Lucinda. Will gladly exchange what I have with others.
WHITE Charles WHITE married Perlina HANSFORD and had 9 children in Martin
Co. around Bedford. Three later moved to Illinois, including my grandmother.
(She was born in 1884) Would appreciate any leads you can provide.
WILEY Aquilla WILEY, b. 29 May 1758, is listed on the 1820 Census for Martin
County, IN. I have the tree from Aquilla to present; would like to find
out where he was born. I would also like to find any further ancestors.
