Tombaugh
Wendell Carvey and Jean Cragun Tombaugh published two volumes of cemetery inscriptions for Marshall County, Indiana. The two volumes, both published in 1985, were the result of hundreds of hours of work by the Tombaughs. After recording data in the cemetery, they compiled their data, typed it up, and published it under the name Tombaugh House. On December 11, 2006, Statehood Day, the Governor of Indiana, on behalf of the Indiana State Historic Records Advisory Board (SHRAB), presented the first SHRAB Governor's Award for a volunteer to Judge Wendell Tombaugh of Fulton County in recognition of their work.
Through an effort by the Fulton County Public Library and the generosity of the Tombaugh family, these volumes, plus other published works by Wendell and Jean Tombaugh, are available for free. Please give credit to the Tombaughs when you use their work.
