Cemeteries : Borkholder, German Township

Located on the north side of the Plymouth-Goshen Trail just east of the Amish school on the corner near Beech Road. The cemetery is laid out in North-South rows. The rows are numbered from East to West and the stones are read from South to North. There is a walk-in gate about midway along the Plymouth-Goshen Trail. Many of the stones have no markings on them. Information enclosed in braces { } is not on the stone and was provided by Dee Hochstetler. Actual reading made by Lillian McKinney and Edith Cullison-Smith in 1998.

This listing is presented in Row Order rather than alphabetical. Borkholder Cemetery is well documented on Finda A Grave, where most of the memorials have clear headstone photographs and family links. The value of this listing may be the many unmarked and illegible stones documented here. Of the 200 headstones found in 1998, 40 were either unmarked or lacked a legible surname. Perhaps seeing where these stones are in relation to legible stones may be of interest to family researchers. For searching convenience, this list is also available in Alphabetical Order.
