DEATH OF MRS. SUSAN PARKS

Mrs. Susan Parks of Bedford, mother of Mrs. Frank Mulky, formerly of this city, died at Bedford Sunday. Of her death, the Bedford Mail says: "Aunt Sue Parks" as she was affectionately known, had lived in the house in which she died since 1862, and in all those years she was friend as well as neighbor within a large radius of her home. Of a modest and retiring nature, she was always to be depended upon both in health and ill health, and there are many of the younger generations as well as the older ones who will revere this noble woman's memory.

Susan A. Owens was born near Cross Lane, February 22, 1841. She died January 17th, 1915. Had she lived until next month, she would have been 75 years of age.

She was married to the late Pleasant Alonzo Parks in 1860 and to them were born four children, Walter aged three, and Mrs. Flora Parks Hackett with the husband preceding her in death.

Her surviving children are George E. Parks of Chicago and Mrs. Kate Parks Mulky of Oklahoma who came in the early part of the winter to assist in the care of her mother but was stricken with rheumatism and is under the care of a trained nurse at the old home.
