The bright light that attracted so much attention south of here last Monday night a week, was caused by the burning of a barn in Lawrence County, four miles from Bedford. The barn belonged to Michael Stipp and, with its contents, was valued at $2,000. It was set fire by lightning and was "protected" by four lightning rods. The light was seen plainly at Ellettsville.
