BLOODY STABBING AFFRAY AT BEDFORD, IND.
[Special Dispatch to the Cincinnati Gazette]
Bedford, Indiana, Aug. 17 – A bloody and desperate affray took place on High Street, the principal thoroughfare of this town, last night, the parties to which were Charles and Emil Gaussen and three stonecutters employed in the quarries near the town. In the melee, Charles Gaussen received nine stabs, two of them in the abdomen with knife plunges to the handle. His wounds are very dangerous. The affray caused intense excitement in the town. All the parties except the wounded man were arrested.
