Mike Ricketts, "Music, No Matter What"

Twelve-year-old Maris Fish, one of four children born to Jason and Angie Fish, graduates of [Bedford] North Lawrence High School, could hum before she could talk. She plays piano, violin and guitar. She also sings.

Jon Colburn, a long-time friend of the Fish family notes that Maris has four things that cannot be taught: talent, poise, confidence and drive. She is a naturally gifted musician.

Colburn and Maris will perform at the Monroe County Fair talent show. Maris will also perform a solo. One day she hopes to attend the Jacobs School of Music.
