Mr. J. W. Ray's school in Lawrence County is out and he is preparing to remove to his home at this place. Mr. Ray is an excellent teacher, and we hope that he will be employed to superintendent our schools next winter. He understands the situation at Ellettsville thoroughly and gave us the best schools we ever had. We know not what his desires are on the subject but hope that he will again take charge of our schools.

Webmaster note: Ellettsville, Indiana, is in northern Monroe county, about 30 miles north of Bedford. We don't know at which school Mr. Ray was teaching in Lawrence county.
