YOUNG BOY IS FROZEN TO DEATH

The bitter cold wave that has gripped the state since Sunday brought on a pitiful tragedy Monday in the Barlettsville community in Lawrence County. Charles Hollers, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hollers of Bartlettsville, chilled by the biting cold on his way home from a neighbor's house, crawled under a bush to get warm and froze to death.

A searching party hastily organized after the lad was missed found the crumpled body under the bush stiff from the cold. He is survived by the parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Charles and his brother, Walter, 12, had gone in the morning to the home of the neighbor to secure a package for their father. The older boy went on to his grandmother's home from the neighbor's and Charles started back home alone. When Walter got back home at noon, he learned that his brother had not arrived.
