Funds are being raised for the beautification project of the cemetery. A new fence is being erected to encompass the entire cemetery as funds become available. 30 eight-foot sections have been installed. The fence will be installed in eight-foot sections with a memorial plaque attached at the cost of $250 per section. In addition to this, there will be fencing & plaques available for interested persons reading "Donated By". Plans call for eventually replacing trees throughout the cemetery. The current sexton at the cemetery is Peggy Tirey. Additonal Information about the project can be obtained by calling Christina Robinson Roell at (812) 275-1923, or Peggy Tirey (812) 275-5110. Checks for the project should be mailed to Green Hill Cemetery, 1202 18th Street, Bedford, IN 47421. A notation should be made stating who the plaque should honor.
