TWO BEDFORD MEN INDICTED AS RESULT OF GIRL'S DEATH
Bedford, Indiana, November 24 – The grand jury returned indictments today against Dr. Spencer Smith and Ray Jackson, charging them jointly in four counts with attempting to procure and conspiring to perform a criminal operation upon Miss Barbara Fries, who died recently. Miss Fries was 18 years old. Before her death she made a statement implicating Jackson and another man unknown to her, but her description is said to fit Dr. Smith. Jackson and Smith each gave bond of $3,000. Jackson operates a taxicab line here.

MURDER TRIAL DATES SET
Bedford, Indiana, November 24 – The trial of Samuel Robinson, charged with murder for killing Frank Quackenbush, a quarry superintendent, by whom he had been discharged from work, was set for December 11.
