ARRESTED ON MISSOURI PIKE

Alleged Bedford, Indiana, Jail Breaker Will Return without Papers

St. Louis, Mo., April 21 – George Foster, wanted in Bedford, Indiana, on a charge of breaking jail while serving a term for horse stealing, is under arrest at Clayton, a St. Louis suburb. Constable G. A. Bode of Clayton found him on the Manchester Road about five miles west of Clayton. Bode caught Foster unawares and captured him. Later, in a wagon in which Foster had been driving around the country, he found a mauser rifle and 80 cartridges. Foster first gave the name of Milbourne and then acknowledged his real name. He told Bode he would go to Bedford without requisition papers.
