AN INDIANA DEATH PUZZLES OFFICERS
Bedford, Indiana, August 19 – The shooting to death of Miss Della Henderson, nineteen years old, while her sweetheart was calling on her, presents a mystery that the local police have not solved.
The bullet entered the girl's head and came from the mouth. The young man says he left Miss Henderson in the room a few moments while he stepped out to get a bucket of water. He says he heard a shot and running back found the girl lying on the floor with the revolver in her hand and the wound in her head.
The tragedy is believed to be the result of a quarrel, and so far as known the young man was the only person near her when the shot was fired.
