Lafayette, Indiana, April 16 – Andrew Stone, second oldest locomotive engineer of the Monon Railroad Company, died Wednesday at his home here after an illness of three weeks. He was about 80 years old.

Mr. Stone made his last trip on northbound passenger train No. 6 on February 25. For over fifty years he was in the employ of the railroad company having been hired in February 1878 as a locomotive fireman.

He was a native of Greene County. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Munzer of Lafayette and Mrs. Ross Barnhart of Los Angeles, Cal.; and one brother, Clayton Stone, Bedford.

Funeral services will be conducted from the family residence in Lafayette Friday forenoon at 8:45 o'clock after which the funeral party will leave for Bedford where burial will be made in the Green Hill Cemetery.
