Margaret Peo Jakelski - Aug. 26, 1970 -
Margaret Peo Jakelski Dies at 54 Margaret Jakelski, 54, 815 E. 11th St., wife
of Edward F. Jakelski, longtime employee of The News-Dispatch, died this
morning at 5:40 in Memorial Hospital after an illness of one week. Her husband,
who is a journeyman printer in charge of make-up, joined The Evening Dispatch
in 1933 and continued after the merger with the Michigan City News. Funeral
services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church with the Rev.
Stanley Dominik officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends
may call at Ott Funeral Chapel Friday and Saturday until the hour of services.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs.
Jakelski was born here Jan. 16, 1916, the daughter of Edward and Mary Nespo
Peo. She was married here June 27, 1936. Survivors include the widower; her
mother, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Brandon, Jr., this city; two
grandchildren; and two brothers -- Clarence and Carl Peo, both of this City.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and the Rosary Club, and was
secretary of the Paderewski Club.

Debra Osowski obit first said she was buried in
Greenwood Cemetery. But the next day there was a correction stating she was
buried in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Michigan City, IN. The latter is correct
for following is the inscription on the stone: Osowski, wife and mother, Debra
D. June 11, 1956 - Dec. 7, 1988 Husband and Father Stanley M. Feb. 18, 1953
Precious Memories - wedding rings and photos engraved Married Oct. 6, 1973 on
the obverse: God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change

Clarence E. Peo - November 3, 1987 - The funeral for
Clarence E. Peo, 73, Michigan City, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Queen of All
Saints Church.
Mr. Peo died at 4 a.m. yesterday (Nov. 2, 1987)
at his home. The Rev. Alfred Dettmer will officiate. Burial will be in St.
Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and until 9:30
a.m. Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. The rosary will be recited
at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Mr. Peo was born May 4, 1914, in
Michigan City, the son of Edward and Mary F. Niespodziany Peo. Surviving are
his mother, Mary F. Peo, Michigan City; a brother, Carl Peo, Michigan City; a
niece, Barbara Brandon, Michigan City, two nephews, Carl James, Terre Haute,
Ind., and Steven Douglass, Michigan City; and several great nieces and
great-nephews. A sister, Margaret Jakelaki, is deceased. Mr. Peo was a retired
estimator from Pullman-Standard, retiring in 1976 with 40 years of service. He
was a member of Queen of All Saints Church and Pullman-Standard Management
Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Mary F. Peo - Dec. 22, 1987 Mary F. Peo, 92,
Michigan City, died at 2:36 a.m. today (Dec. 22, 1987) at St. Anthony Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Church. The Rev.
Steve Kosinski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and until the service
Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. A scripture service will be at
7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral chapel. Mrs. Peo was born Nov. 20, 1895, in
Chicago, the daughter of John and Pearl Galecki Niesopodziany. She had lived in
Michigan City most of her life. Surviving are a son, Carl Peo, Michigan City;
three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Clarence, and
a daughter, Margaret Jakelski are deceased. Mrs. Peo was a homemaker and a
member of St. Stanislaus Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the
charity of the donor's choice.
