Tornado
Damage

On October 24, 2001 a
tornado hit
LaPorte County and did quite a bit
of damage in the Wills Township area.
Fortunately 99% of the stones in
this cemetery were unaffected by the falling timbers. Plans are in
motion now to tend to the clean up.
The tombstones pictured in many of these photographs were not
damaged by the tornado. Photos taken by Holly Jenks and Deanna West.
Clean up efforts began a
few weekends
ago. Holly Jenks along with
workers and the Hudson Tree Company of New Carlisle,Indiana
commenced
removing debris and repairing. Below are a few photos of these efforts
that are on going.
