Thank you to Carol Grott who gave Rolling Prairie's First Annual Cemetery Tour held during the 9th Annual Old Farmer's Fest
held in Rolling Prairie on August 25th and 26th, 2001. Holly Jenks and I jumped on board the tram on the second day, Sunday,
to take this informative and fun tour. On board the first tour were a few of the Rolling Prairie Cemetery Association Members who
gave some great information about the cemetery in addition to the 45 minute interesting oration by Carol, our tour guide.
Upon completion of the tour, Holly spoke to the group for a few minutes and stressed that tours like this help the cemeteries
and the ancestors come alive again. She went on to add how through cleaning and restoring the cemeteries and through our web site,
we are increasing public awareness and interest in these county landmarks.

The tour was such a success that Carol was asked to do another tour on Sunday for the folks that missed the first one.
Below are some of the pictures Holly Jenks took during and after the tour. Hope you enjoy them. Numbers 1 through 12 were part of the tour.
Additional photos were taken for those seeking ancestors.
We hope that this will be an annual event and that Carol will once again share many of the facts and mysteries of this cemetery for years to come.
