Ulrich, Mrs. Mathilda - La Porte Herald-Argus Thursday, July 30, 1970, p.4 - --Mrs. Mathilda Ulrich, 93, 1403 Second street, died Wednesday at 11:15 pm at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Pauline Wangerow. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born in LaPorte April 23, 1877, to Julius and Louise (Fenker) Siegert and had lived in LaPorte her entire life. She was married June 15, 1899 in LaPorte to George F. J. Ulrich, who preceded her in death March 12, 1944. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid. Surviving are one son, Ronald Gene Ulrich, LaPorte; six daughters, Mrs. Paul Tanger, Mrs. George Watt, Mrs. Fred Berker, Mrs. Edward Haferkamp and Mrs. Pauline Wangerow, all of LaPorte, also Mrs. Wilburn McClelland, New Carlisle; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Paul, St. Paul, Minn; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 pm at the Otto E. Geise Funeral home, the Rev. Edward A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and until the hour of the services.
