Stites School 1902-1903
From research of Donna Nelson: Stites School
is the one at the corner of 900 N. and HWY 39. In the 1970's it was used as the
La Porte Business College, and most recently people have used it as a
residence. But it seemed that no one ever stayed there long, probably the cost
of heating it or maybe it needed a lot of maintenance. A few years ago
it burned and then within the past 2 or 3 years it was leveled.
